Find the Pain. Look Elsewhere for the Cause.
Pelvic pain can have many causes. Increasingly, the medical community is discovering that not all pelvic pain is from the pelvis. Sometimes, restrictions in the pelvic floor muscles is the cause. Gentle hands-on treatment of these muscles can help them let go so pain is relieved. Pelvic pain frequently occurs due to scar tissue from earlier surgeries in the abdominal, pelvic, or lumbar region.
When PMS is not relieved by balancing hormones, correcting the fascial restrictions must be addressed. During the monthly cycle, as progesterone increases, the tissue retains water and bloats. But if restrictions do not allow the normal process of expansion with water retention, pain will result.
